Temporary downtime while we migrate to a new OS

Scheduled Maintenance Report for TinglyTube

Completed

We're relieved to say that TinglyTube is finally back up and running! While we originally estimated the downtime not to last longer than 24 hours, it unfortunately did, and we're sincerely sorry for that.

The migration of content between servers was carried out successfully by our team within a few hours, however, unforeseen complications later arose regarding the transfer of our former server's IP address. We're continuing to work on this with our server provider and once the transfer is finalized later this week, a small interruption will be necessary for us to tweak a few last things on our side.

We appreciate and thank you for your continued support and understanding. As always, if you have any questions or concerns at all, do not hesitate to reach to us: https://tinglytu.be/support

Update

We've been in contact with our server provider and are waiting for a technician to become available to have the IP address of our previous server migrated to the new one. This is unfortunately a process which we don't have direct control over so we must continue to hang tight!

Update

We've successfully transferred all content from our old server to the new one and are now waiting on our server provider to migrate our old IP address over. In the meantime, we've powered off the old server.

Scheduled

The reason for this temporary downtime is that CentOS 7, a distribution of Linux, that our server currently runs, will reach its EOL (End-of-life) on June 30, 2024. After this date, it will no longer receive security updates, patches, or new features. To ensure the continued stability and security of TinglyTube, we must transition to a new operating system.

We don't have an exact timeframe for when we'll be back online as there is some manual action needed on the part of our server provider to fully complete the migration, however, we're hopeful that this process shouldn't take longer than 24 hours but do ask that you remain patient.
